FAQ (Frequently Anticipated Questions)

Question: What does ---888--- mean?

Answer: It is simply a scene break. For various reasons, the normal line used on webpages causes more problems than it is worth, especially for the various fan fiction archives. So, I use ---888--- as my scene break. Also, I've chosen it in tribute to my favorite writer, Greengecko, who also uses it as a scene break.

Question: I've never read Harry Potter fan fiction before, but I miraculously stumbled onto your page and am interested in reading more. What do I do?

Answer: Stop right now. I swear this stuff is highly addicting... seriously, email me and I'll try to help you out.

Question: Why did you start this website? Most authors just post to one or more of the archives.

Answer: I started this website for a couple of reasons, but mainly because I wanted a blackberry accessible format for my story. I spend a fair bit of time with my blackberry, and I like to re-read my chapters when I have a few spare moments on the train. I also think it's a good idea to post the story where I alone have control over it. I simply don't trust the archives not to kick me off one day. While nothing in my story is offensive, I've heard horror stories and don't want to put myself in that position.

Question: Your disclaimer says that you aren't making any money off this story, but you've got Google ads on the sidebar. What gives?

Answer: Websites aren't free. Any money I make from the Google ads will be used to pay for the domain registration and hosting fees. I don't expect that I'll cover these, but if I do, then I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
